For CCHS’s fall play we produced the classic tale of HARVEY by Mary Chase.  For an older piece, we found collectively an incredible amount of wisdom, particularly with the acceptance of personal truth, and embracing the eccentricities that make us… well, us!  Our design was based on 1940s architecture in Denver, CO; where Ms. Chase was actually born.  In addition to our research, we latched onto the idea that Elwood’s invisible friend would be the lifeblood of the piece, picking colors that would change in tone based on subtle light shifting that took place with the rabbit’s presence.  We also double cast the show, showcasing two completely different sets of characters who all explored and brought-forth their own eccentricities to brighten the play.

As an added bonus: we opened on the weekend 75-years to the date that HARVEY originally premiered on Broadway.
